Not Your Average Nutritionist

Welcome to a place free from judgment

where we know how hard it is to leave your comfort zone of “safe” foods.

WHO WE ARE AND HOW WE CAN HELP YOU

At Not Your Average Nutritionist, we are a team of Registered Dietitians who are ready to meet you where you are at to help your relationship with food, exercise, and body image. We practice from a “Health At Every Size” ® and all-foods-fit philosophy; believing that Intuitive Eating is the end-goal that we were all born knowing.

We’ve struggled with food and never want anyone else to live in the constant mind-battle of disordered eating!

It sucks to have thoughts about what you ate / are going to eat swirling in your mind all day. We know the mental-hell of it, personally.  With years of helping people like yourself break out of these patterns, we are so glad you are here looking into the next step in finding peace with food. It is possible!

Recovery Book

Registered Dietitian & eating disorder expert, Libby Parker, wrote a self-help book for eating disorder recovery, aimed at college students/ millennials. It is Health At Every Size® informed, and gender affirming.

Permission To Eat: a practical guide to working yourself out of an eating disorder during college, while celebrating the awesomeness that is you!  contains actionable tips and exercises used with her   1:1 clients, journal prompts, body positive talk, personal stories of Libby’s and other’s, and bonuses on an accompanying website. you won’t want to miss it!

Presentations & Speaking

With a background in acting, performing and teaching nutrition classes at a local college, Libby loves speaking to groups about health and eating disorders.
She will present to your group about eating disorders, health for performers, college health, and more using
evidence-based science paired with her passion and energy!

Health for Performers

Libby works with stage performers on health through her online course “Whole Health for Performers” (coming to some Universities soon!!). This class covers everything you never learned about how to take care of your body as a performer through a body-positive lens (no weight-shaming here!). Learn to avoid digestive issues on stage, tips for vocal health, stay hydrated, and more!

Online Education

Make sure to check out the new Podcast, Permission To Eat, and YouTube channel, Not Your Average Nutritionist, that focuses on various topics of eating disorder recovery, and debunking fad diets (the blog, too).          Facebook and Instagram live videos also happen throughout the month.
